UBEC 25A is a switchable DC power stabilizer; it is powered by a LiPo 3-18S battery, the output voltage is stabilized at a given value (5.2-8.4 V). The load capacity of UBEC is 25 A permanently, temporary 50 A in peak. This makes it suitable for large helicopters, airplanes ..

It uses an advanced DC step-down converter circuit with efficiency in excess of 90%.
4 selectable output voltages (5.2V / 6.0V / 7.4V / 8.4V) suitable for all types of receivers, gyroscopes, servos etc. The voltage is selected by the triple DIP switch on the UBEC.
Up to 8 parallel outputs for higher current carrying capacity or powering more devices.
It is equipped with a BEC breakdown protection that prevents the supply voltage from entering the output and damaging the receiver, servos and other electronics.
It is equipped with other protection circuits, such as overcurrent protection, short circuit outputs and thermal protection, making its operation safer and more reliable.
The possibility of connecting a second backup battery allows direct connection of connected electronic devices from the backup battery in order to maintain normal operation in the event of a failure of the main power supply of the stabilizer or failure of the UBEC stabilizer.
External switch to easily turn UBEC on and off.
Aluminum housing for more efficient cooling and shielding of electromagnetic radiation.
LED indicator for UBEC operating status and backup battery connection status.
UBEC power supply

The 3-18S LiPo main battery is used to power the UBEC during normal operation. When the main battery voltage drops below 9V, the UBEC switches to backup battery power.

The 1-2S LiPo backup battery is used to directly power connected devices in the event of discharge or failure of the main or UBEC battery. NOTE: The backup battery voltage must not exceed the permissible operating voltage of devices connected to the UBEC output (s).

The UBEC output is connected to 8 three-pin sockets, divided into 4 groups "INPUT" and "OUTPUT". The sockets have the same pin connections as regular servo connectors:

By connecting only the (+) and (-) contacts, up to 8 parallel UBEC outputs are obtained for powering individual devices in the on-board electronics.

Using UBEC:

  • Electric model with OPTO controller: Connect UBEC directly to the propulsion battery outputs and connect the UBEC output connector to the battery socket (or other free servo socket) on the receiver.
  • Electric model with regulator with built-in power stabilizer (BEC): Before connecting the UBEC, disconnect the red wire (+) on the controller servo cable to turn off the built-in BEC. Otherwise, the UBEC connection is the same as for the OPTO driver.
  • Combustion engine or sailplane model: Connect UBEC directly to the battery pack outputs and connect the UBEC output connector to the battery socket (or other free servo socket) on the receiver.

Tip: To reduce possible UBEC interference in the model, place it at least 5 cm from the receiver.
