In 2009, well-known aeronautical designer Milan Bříštela and his son Martin founded BRM AERO s.r.o. Their first machine, the Bristell Classic, a two-seat low-wing aircraft with a three-wheel ultralight category landing gear, was a huge success (more than 600 of them fly worldwide) and enabled further development and production of other types. The latest addition is the Bristell B23, an all-metal two-seat low-wing school aircraft with composite main landing gear certified to EASA CS-23/US 14 CFR (FAR) Part 23. "Adult" B23 equipped with a modern "glass" cockpit and the latest avionics is an ideal aircraft for flight schools and basic pilot training, as well as for air tourism and recreational flying.

Bristell B23 model

The fuselage of the model is made of high-strength EPO (extruded polyolefin) foam with accurate internal carbon reinforcements. The model features a C3548-800 AC electric motor with a 10x6" three-blade propeller and a KAVAN R-50SB regulator with a powerful BEC power stabilizer needed to power the 7 servos on board. The cabin cover is removable, fastened with a pin in the front and two mechanical latches in the rear. In the cabin you will find enough space for the propulsion battery and receiver.

The model's EPO foam wing is two-piece with carbon rods and a carbon tube connector. It is secured with screws. The ailerons and flaps are controlled independently by two servos with short, straight rods, and there are functional LED position and landing lights.

The stabilizers are also made of EPO foam. The rudder and elevator servos are located in the keel and horizontal stabilizer: the rudders are controlled by short, straight rods.

Undercarriage with front steerable shin and main landing gear made of duralumin, all wheels are equipped with elegant aerodynamic covers.

The model is powered by a C3548-800 class AC motor with a 50 A KAVAN R-50SB regulator.

For power supply you will need a four-cell LiPo with a capacity of 2600-3300 mAh and a current of at least 30C, recommendedKavan 14.8V / 2600 mAh or 14.8V / 3300 mAh.
To control the model, you can use a six-channel computer RC kit without special functions - in the basic version, the ailerons, flaps, rudder and servo noses are connected to only one channel via a connection board installed in the cabin area. The board also provides power for the LED lights. The ideal solution, of course, is to use at least a seven-channel RC computer kit that allows independent control of ailerons and flaps with two servos, which even inexpensive Radiolink AT9S or AT10II or Futaba T6K or T10J can do today. In this case, it is necessary to connect the aileron and flap servos using four single extensions (15-30 cm). Of course, the manual includes a detailed table with proven default rudder deflection settings to easily prepare the B23 for flight, even if this is your first model with a "fully mechanized" wing.

The ARF kit includes: finished fuselage, EPO foam wing and tail surfaces with engine installed, propeller, controller, 7 servos and LED lights, instructions.
