The T16D is a 16-channel computer transmitter for recreational modelers, allowing you to set basic functions such as yaw speed and direction. It also has a wide range of mixers to control a wide range of models, including motorized aerobatic models, gliders, multi-rotors, cars, other ground vehicles and boats. It can operate with an internal RF module with the FHSS transmission system (the same as the T8FB/T8S pistol transmitters or RadioLink R4GS/R6GS/R8X), but also allows connection of external ELRS or TBS Crossfire long-range RF modules. It has a practical case that fits perfectly in the hand, with a classic, proven ergonomic layout of controls.
Controls: The main functions are controlled by precision gimbals with adjustable self-centering spring tension and the ability to move the ratcheting throttle axis left or right. This allows free selection of 1-4 gimbal modes. The digital trimmers have audio signals for setting steps and center position. They are located slightly off-center and are easy to reach. Additional channels can be controlled by two rotary knobs on the front panel and two self-centering rotary controllers on the back of the transmitter; eight switches (three 3-position and five 2-position) can be used as channel switches or to enable/disable program functions. For easy programming, there are two buttons and a programming knob/button, and a 2.8-inch color LCD display with a resolution of 320×240 pixels. The transmitter uses the FreeRTOS operating system.
Transmitter power supply: The T16D can be powered by a variety of sources: 8 AA alkaline batteries or rechargeable NiMH batteries inserted into the holder supplied with the transmitter, rechargeable NiMH batteries with 8 cells (AA size), or LiPo or Li-ion 2-4S batteries. Power can also be supplied from a power bank via a USB-C port.
Transmission system: The T16D uses frequency-hopping FHSS transmission to ensure long range, reliability and excellent anti-interference performance. For the internal RF module, you can choose between three FHSS transmission protocols with different transmission speeds (14 ms for analog servos, 4 or 3 ms for digital servos), depending on the type of RadioLink receiver and servos used. When using a telemetry receiver, it allows transmission of telemetry from the receiver, as well as telemetry from the connected RadioLink flight control unit, if used. Two-way ELRS and CRSF V2 protocols are available for use with external modules.
Software: the T16D offers programs for eight types of models - classic aircraft, flying wings/delts, multi-rotors, helicopters, cars, boats, tracked vehicles/tanks and robots, with the ability to work with RadioLink control units for aircraft, drones, vehicles and even fishing boats, including the corresponding telemetry.
Compatible receivers: RadioLink R12F, R16F, R8FM, R8SM, R8XM, R8FGH, R8FG, R7FG, R6FG, R6F, R6FGM, R4F.
The R16F receiver supplied in the kit allows you to select several channel output modes (16 PWM outputs for classic servos, 15xPWM + S.BUS, 13xPWM+S. BUS+RX/TX CRSF, 14xPWM + RX/TX CRSF) with combinations of PWM outputs for classic servos, S.BUS serial output and input/output for CRSF. This allows easy connection of classic servos, S.BUS servos and other devices, control units, etc.
