Powerbox Spark Switch is an electronic ignition switch, equipped with voltage stabilization. Spark Switch is a reliable and convenient to use device. The overall design of Spark Switch is intentionally very simple, but does not omit any important functions. The ignition switch is immediately ready for use and requires no settings. The only requirement is to create a switch channel in the RC apparatus. Spark Switch can be used to turn the ignition circuit on and off from the transmitter. It works with NiCd/MH, LiPo or LiFe batteries. The output voltage is subject to linear stabilization and defaults to 5.9 V (a value that is suitable for all types of ignition circuits). An ultra-bright 5mm LED that indicates the unit's status (on/off) should be mounted on the outside of the model near the hood. A particularly user-friendly feature is that the device detects when the receiving system is off and does not draw power from the ignition battery. This means that there is no need for an additional switch between the battery and Spark Switch. Forgetting to turn off the ignition system battery is no longer a problem. As you might guess, the battery can be charged without being disconnected. The power circuits of the receiver and the ignition system are isolated from each other by an opto-isolator, effectively eliminating interference caused by the ignition system. Spark Switch also works well in practice as an electronic switch for other circuits, such as lighting circuits.
