Programmable microprocessor controller for AC motors without sensors ("brushless, sensorless") constructed using the capabilities of state-of-the-art semiconductor technology with excellent performance characteristics while maintaining simple and user-friendly operation. It is used to control the speed of AC electric motors in model aircraft powered by NiCd/NiMH and Li-poly/Li-ion/Li-Fe batteries. It is equipped with a BEC power stabilizer to provide power to the receiver and servos from the drive battery. A special Hobbywing LED programming card, which is supplied separately, is used to easily adjust the controller.

DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTIONS OF THE CONTROLLER

  • Extremely low internal resistance and high current carrying capacity thanks to a new generation of MOSFET power transistors.
  • Miniature size, very light weight.
  • Suitable for most aircraft AC motors powered by 2S LiPo/Li-ion or 5-6 NiCd/NiMH.
  • For powering from NiCd, NiMH, Li-poly, Li-ion, Li-Fe batteries
  • Linear BEC power stabilizer with load capacity up to 0.8 A.
  • Adjustable timing for optimum match to a given motor.
  • Adjustable PCO circuit - disconnects the motor in the event of a drop in supply voltage.
  • Safe start (prevents the motor from starting when turned on).
  • Overload protection (when the temperature reaches 110°C, the controller will limit power).
  • Automatic throttle reversal when the control signal is lost.
  • Continuous linear gas control.
  • Special power stabilizer for the microprocessor for high noise immunity.
  • Maximum speed of 210,000 rpm (2-pole motors), 70,000 rpm (6-pole motors), 35,000 rpm (12-pole motors).
  • Simple programming and setting using the Hobbywing LED programming transmitter or card.
  • Throttle range calibration to perfectly match the control signal from your RC kit.

PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS

  • Programmable brake (Off - On).
  • Optional battery type (Li-po or NiCd/NiMH).
  • Adjustable way of disconnecting the motor in case of power voltage drop (power reduction or immediate disconnection).
  • Adjustable motor disconnection threshold voltage, PCO - battery over-discharge protection. (Lithium battery: 2.85 V/cell, 3.15 V/cell, 3.3 V/cell
  • NiXX battery: 0%/50%/65% of the initial voltage value.)
  • Reset controller settings to factory settings.
  • Adjustable timing (advance) - for increased efficiency and optimal motor adjustment - Low (3.75°), Medium (15°), High (26.25°)
  • Adjustable soft start of geared motors and helicopters in three stages: Normal (300ms) / Soft (1.5s) / Super soft (3s).

REGULATOR PROTECTION FUNCTIONS

  • Start-up protection: If the engine does not start within 2 seconds after adding gas, the controller will disconnect the engine.
  • Thermal protection: If the temperature of the controller exceeds 110°C, the controller will limit the power output.
  • Throttle signal loss: The controller will limit power if there is no signal for 1 s; no signal for more than 2 s will disconnect the engine completely.

Note: When turning on the controller for the first time, first calibrate the gas range according to the instructions. Only then can you use the controller and set other parameters using the transmitter or LED programming card.
