Programmable microprocessor speed controller for brushless, sensorless AC motors designed based on the capabilities of the latest semiconductor technology with excellent performance properties while maintaining simple and user-friendly operation. It is used to control the speed of AC motors in aircraft models powered by NiCd / NiMH and Li-poly / Li-ion / Li-Fe batteries. It is equipped with a BEC power stabilizer that provides power to the receiver and servos from the drive battery. A special Hobbywing LED programming card, supplied separately, is used for easy programming of the controller.

CONTROLLER DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTIONS:

  • Extremely low internal resistance and high current carrying capacity thanks to the new generation of power MOSFETs
  • Miniature dimensions, very low weight.
  • Suitable for most airplanes with AC motors powered by 2-4S LiPo / Li-ion batteries or 5-12 NiCd / NiMH cells.
  • To be powered by NiCd, NiMH, Li-poly, Li-ion, Li-Fe batteries
  • Linear power stabilizer BEC with a load capacity of up to 2 A.
  • Adjustable time for optimal adaptation to the respective engine.
  • Regulated PCO circuit - disconnection of the motor when the supply voltage drops.
  • Safe starting (prevents the engine from starting when turned on).
  • Overload protection (when the temperature reaches 110 ° C, the controller limits the power).
  • Continuous linear gas regulation.
  • Special power stabilizer for the microprocessor ensures high immunity to interference.
  • Easy to program and set using the transmitter or the Hobbywing LED programming card.
  • Gas span calibration for a perfect match to the control signal from the RC kit.

PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS:

  • Programmable brake (off - on).
  • Optional battery type (Li-po or NiCd / NiMH).
  • Adjustable method of disconnecting the motor in the event of a voltage drop (power reduction or immediate disconnection).
  • Adjustable limit voltage for engine disconnection, PCO - protection against excessive battery discharge. (Lithium battery: 2.85V / cell, 3.15V / cell, 3.3V NiXX battery / cell: 0% / 50% / 65% of the initial voltage value.)
  • Resetting the controller settings to factory default settings.
  • Adjustable timing (advance) - for increased performance and optimal engine alignment - Low (3.75 °), Medium (15 °), High (26.25 °)
  • Adjustable soft start of gear motors and helicopters in three stages: normal (300 ms) / gentle (1.5 s) / super soft (3 s).

PROTECTIVE FUNCTIONS OF THE REGULATOR:

  • Anti-start protection: If the engine does not start within 2 seconds after adding the throttle stick, the controller shuts down the engine.
  • Thermal protection: If the controller temperature exceeds 110 ° C, the controller will limit the output power.
  • Loss of gas signal: Regulator limits power if no signal for 1 s; no signal after more than 2 seconds will cause complete engine shutdown.

Note: When switching on the regulator for the first time, first calibrate the gas range according to the instructions. Only then can the driver be used and other parameters can be set using the transmitter or LED programming card.
