The Fokker Dr.1 V2 is a World War I-era tri-plane, the latest product from the Czech company VA-Models. The model is made of EPP and designed to be as close as possible to its real prototype and at the same time have excellent flight characteristics. We believe that more than two years of work on the construction resulted in the creation of one of our gems in the field of RC model aircraft !!!
The Fokker Dr.I was a German single-seat three-bladed fighter aircraft used during WWI. It was designed by Reinhold Platz and produced at the Anthony Fokker factory. It became one of the most famous aircraft of World War I as the plane of the Red Baron, German fighter ace Manfred von Richthofen.
The model is designed for enthusiasts of the golden era of aviation - for pilots who already have some experience in flying RC models.
The model is supplied in Kit and ARF versions. In the KIT version, the fuselage is for self-assembly, but this is not a complicated process due to the fact that all parts of the model are built with a locking system. The kit comes with instructions, making assembly really trivial for someone who has ever built a model. The ARF version is the version in which the fuselage is pre-assembled.
The model is delivered without electronics. You will need at least a four-channel kit to control the model, but we recommend the currently standard 6-channel RC kit, which allows independent control and adjustment of aileron servos, setting deflections, exponentials, etc. As a propulsion system, we recommend choosing an AC motor of at least 1 kg for an aerobatic model, which corresponds to a motor power of about 250 W, at about 900-1150 RPM (typically, these motors are usually referred to as 3536) + a suitable AC regulator (30-40A) 4 x microgear with a pull of about 2-2.5 kg.
Technical data:
- span: 1002 mm
- length: 960 mm
- weight: 850 - 900 g ( depending on RC equipment )
