UBEC 8A 2-3S is a switchable DC power stabilizer; it is powered by a LiPo 2-3S battery, the input voltage is reduced to a level suitable for powering the receivers and on-board electronics of RC models, and the output voltage is stabilized at a set value (5.0 / 6.0 V). The load capacity of UBEC is 8 A permanent, 15 A peak. This makes it also suitable for large helicopters, cars, ships and model airplanes.

It uses an advanced DC step-down converter circuit operating with high efficiency.
2 selectable output voltages (with a slide switch) suitable for all types of receivers, gyroscopes, servos, etc.

  • Output short-circuit protection.
  • Metal electronics cover and ferrite ring on the output cables to suppress electromagnetic radiation.
  • Automatic detection of the number of cells (S or 3S).
  • Battery charge status indication by 4 LEDs.
  • Status indication by LED indicator - the LED lights up when the UBEC output voltage is normal.
  • External switch for turning the output on / off.
  • Two parallel output cables provide higher reliability, allow higher receiver current, and reduce wire loss.
  • Optional accessories: Downstream DC converter with a drop of 0.7V (from 6.0V to 5.3V).

Connect UBEC to the 2-3S LiPo battery output and connect the UBEC output cable connectors to the battery socket (or other free servo socket) on the receiver.

Tip: To reduce possible UBEC interference in the model, place it at least 5 cm from the receiver.

Declining DC 0.7V converter

DC 0.7V step-down converter is used to connect servos that cannot work at 6V (including Futaba 9241, 9251, 9253, 9254, 9255, 9256 and more). The device lowers the supply voltage from 6.0 V to 5.3 V. If the UBEC output is set to 6 V, connect a step-down converter between the receiver and the above servos. If you are using servos that can run at 6.0 volts, a 0.7 volt converter is not required.
