SparkSwitch RS is a compact, high-performance ignition switch with RPM monitoring and optional voltage regulation for 6-volt ignition systems. The SparkSwitch RS allows the user to conveniently switch the ignition on and off using a transmitter. The switching status can be checked at any time via an external LED or telemetry status message. These features of the SparkSwitch RS increase operational safety and also simplify the operation of gasoline engines. In an emergency situation - such as a throttle servo failure - the SparkSwitch RS can be used to quickly stop the engine.

An important feature is the galvanic separation between the receiving system and the ignition system. The switching process and the RPM feedback signal from the ignition unit are optically isolated from the receiver. This ensures that a fault in the shielding of the ignition system or any other malfunction will not cause interference in the sensitive receiver system.

The RPM (speed) monitor input can be connected directly to the Tacho output of the ignition unit - if present. If your ignition system is not equipped with a Tacho socket, we can supply a separate RPM-Probe sensor that can be connected in parallel with the Hall sensor. RPM data can be sent to any of the currently available telemetry systems: SparkSwitch RS automatically detects the system in use, eliminating the need for adjustment via USB.

SparkSwitch RS can be supplied in two versions: with or without voltage regulation. The regulated variant reliably reduces the input voltage (max. 9.0 V) to 6.0 V. The version without voltage regulation passes the full voltage (max. 13.0V).
