The Spektrum AR630+ RC receiver is compatible with the Spektrum SMART system and Smart telemetry transmission. It has the advantage of built-in new AS3X+ stabilization, which corrects the effects of wind and turbulence with a 3-axis MEMS gyro and exclusive software, and a SAFE function that provides flight control. Compact receiver size with built-in antenna in the case. Support for the new function of downloading settings from the receiver (Smart Transmitter Model Files).

Spectrum
The all-new AS3X+ stabilization algorithm provides better flight performance, improves sensor accuracy, data rate and provides pilots with a completely new experience compared to AS3X. There is no delay in control response. It simply feels like flying a professionally tuned model that does exactly what you want.

SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope)
The SAFE system prevents overshoot during a turn and limits climb and descent. Simply releasing the control sticks will return the model to level flight. These features will be appreciated especially by beginner pilots who are not yet fully confident when controlling models. The menu of Spektrum G2, iX and MX transmitters includes a FORWARD PROGRAMMING menu, which can be used to configure AS3X and SAFE functions.

Compatibility with Spektrum Smart System
The Spektrum AR630+ is ready for use with SMART Avian controllers. Receiver output #1 (THRO - gas) automatically detects the connection of the SMART controller.

Spectrum
If a SMART regulator is connected, the receiver automatically takes available telemetry data from the regulator (and possibly from the connected SMART battery). Otherwise, a standard servo signal will be output and a conventional controller or servos can be connected.

Adjustable Fail-Safe
The AR630+ RC receiver supports 2 types of Fail-Safe systems

  1. Preset Failsafe: In case of signal loss, the channel goes to a preset bias (bias during pairing). This type is used in gliders
  2. SmartSafe + Hold Last: moves the gas channel to the preset position (low gas) that was set during pairing. All other channels retain their last position. When the receiver detects a signal from the transmitter, the control function is restored. This Fail-Safe type is recommended for use on ordinary (aerobatic) models

Fail-Safe type can be set for individual channels using a computer with Spektrum Programmer + Spektrum USB programming cable or programmable transmitters in the Forward Programming menu. In the default state, the gas channel is set to Preset and the other channels to Last Hold. The swing value for the Preset type is set during pairing or via the Forward Programming menu.

Easy pairing with the push of a button
No more need for a pairing connector! To pair devices, simply press the button with the Spektrum logo on the top of the receiver. Pairing activation can be done either during power-up or by pressing the button after power-up. This is convenient in situations where pressing the button and connecting the power supply at the same time is very difficult to do "all at once."

The ability to pair the receiver using a pairing connector connected to the Bind/Prog/SRXL output has been retained.

The receiver includes a three-axis MEMS gyroscope and accelerometer, and with its electronic stabilization it makes it easier to control the model in windy weather, for example. The model responds similarly to a much larger model, and its flight is smooth, without the limitation of full controllability. The AS3X provides greater control confidence.

The all-new AS3X+ includes a much improved stabilization algorithm that has been thoroughly tested by experts. The system is even simpler to adjust and can be easily optimized for any type of aircraft you fly. The main enhancements of the AS3X+ include:

  • Stop Lock a Release Rate parameters
  • Improved course holding (Heading Hold)
  • Improved gyro filtering (noise reduction)
  • Support for Canard and thrust vectoring

Retrieving settings from the receiver
Downloading settings from the receiver (Smart Transmitter Model Files) is a new feature of the AR630+ receiver that makes transmitter configuration easier than ever before. A set of model configuration parameters is stored in a file on the receiver. When the transmitter is paired with a receiver containing one of these model files, the user will be prompted to download this file and replace the currently selected model in the transmitter with the model stored in the receiver. This gives the user an easy and straightforward way to get the transmitter model settings for their BNF model without having to set or search and download it themselves.

Note: The iX20, iX14 and NX transmitters with the latest firmware updates are currently supported.

SAFE technology
With SAFE technology in place, even less experienced pilots can control model aircraft. The SAFE system prevents the aircraft from overshooting the pitch during a turn so that the aircraft does not end up in an extreme position. These features will be appreciated especially by novice pilots who are not yet fully confident when controlling models.

SMART Telemetry
A complete solution for transmitting telemetry data to a compatible transmitter is offered by the AR630+ receiver together with the Avian controller and SMART battery. Important telemetry data such as current, voltage, temperature and speed are sent directly to the transmitter in real time.

FORWARD PROGRAMMING
The AR630+ receiver can be configured wirelessly, directly from a compatible Spektrum™ transmitter, using the Forward Programming menu. No other devices, such as a computer or mobile device, are needed for configuration and modification.

Integrated antenna
The new concept of the Spektrum AR630 receiver reduces the risk of damage to the antenna, which is now simply hidden in the receiver housing and there is no risk of damaging it. The antenna is part of the circuit board, and its shape has been optimized so that the RC receiver has at least the same or better range compared to standard antennas.
