Plasti Dip Pearlizer gives a one-of-a-kind glow to any Dip Plasti coating. Pearlizer has a pearly sheen and subtly brightens any shade of Plasti Dipa. Plasti Dip Pearlizer is a great way to add a distinctive finish to any synthetic rubber coating. The surface to be painted must be clean, dry and degreased (ordinary extraction gasoline or silicone remover is enough for this). It is best to avoid direct sunlight, high humidity and windy weather when applying.

Surface preparation:

  • Mix well before use
  • The surface must be clean, dry, all grease, wax, oil and rust must be removed. To improve the adhesion of the coating, sand it or increase the roughness of the surface. For better results when coating metals, use Primera.
  • Use adequate ventilation

Application:

  • Shake the can well before use for a full minute and shake the spray frequently during application
  • Hold the aerosol 15 - 25 cm from the painted surface, apply layers one after another, moving the aerosol slightly beyond the edges of the painted object. Apply until an even, smooth surface is obtained
  • Leave each layer to dry for 30 minutes. Apply as many layers as desired (on average 3-4)
  • Allow the coating to dry for 4 hours when finished
  • When applying rubber at lower temperatures, the drying process may take longer. In such conditions, it is recommended to preheat the aerosol by placing it in a warm room until it reaches room temperature. Under no circumstances may the aerosol be heated above 48 ° C or the use of open heat sources or devices that may cause ignition.
  • Additionally, cooler conditions can affect the painted surface. If you have any concerns, please make a test in an invisible place before the actual application to check whether the final effect will meet your expectations.

Recommendations:

Always protect surroundings from accidental painting. Each layer takes about 4 hours to dry completely. When stains appear, move the spray away from the painted surface. To avoid clogging the spray tip, invert the spray tip and press the spray tip for 5 seconds. After clogging, to unlock the tip, remove it and immerse it in kerosene or solvent for 30 minutes. Do not force any needles, pins or other objects into the spray can. To increase the anti-skid properties, you can sprinkle a little sand on the first wet rubber layer, then apply at least two more layers, the effect may vary depending on the material used. The rubber can be removed from most surfaces.
