Plasti Dip is a multi-functional air-drying rubber coating. It can be applied by spraying, dipping or painting. Protective coatings are resistant to moisture, acids, abrasion and corrosion. The product does not crumble, it does not crack even in extreme conditions from -34 degrees to +93 degrees. Ideally suited to protect car paints (eg. Plasti Dip colorless). A painted vehicle can be easily washed in touchless car washes or with a sponge at home. It is possible to restore the original color at any time by breaking the coating. Plasti Dip does not damage the varnish, does not react, does not leave traces of glue. The varnish does not need to be cleaned or polished. Rubber is resistant to moisture, abrasion, airing, protects against electric shock, slipping, corrosion, it can be used to cover mechanical, electric, carpentry, gardening or stonework tools, obtaining a comfortable and secure grip in any color.

Plasti Dip Blaze is a unique collection of neon, eye-catching colors, used wherever there is a need for bright, easy-to-see colors, such as enhancing the visibility of elements to increase safety. Plasti Dip Blaze is available in six attractive colors: Blaze Blue, Blaze Orange, Blaze Pink, Blaze Yellow, Blaze Purple and Blaze Green.

Synthetic rubber can also be used for:

  • model making
  • automotive: protection against weather conditions (water, salt), protection against abrasions, scratches, changing the color of the vehicle (outside, inside)
  • wood: preservation, covers and protects against weathering, prevents splinters, gives any color, improves grip
  • metal: reduces vibrations, reduces sounds, prevents corrosion, insulates against electricity and extreme temperatures, prevents the transmission of vibrations, improves the grip
  • glass: partially protects glass objects from shattering, prevents glass splashing
  • textiles: protects against weather conditions, prevents rotting and fraying
  • plastic: protects the surface from scratching, creates a touch-friendly coating, gives any color, improves grip
  • rubber: protects against weather conditions, protects against abrasion and wear
  • transport: protects against damage, scratching and abrasion of transported objects of all types (metals, glass, wood, plastics, etc.)
  • maps: protects against weather conditions, protects against tearing, protects against light

Chemical resistance:

  • resistant to acids, bases and pollution - excellent
  • crude oil - limited
  • Ideal application temperature: 20-21 ° C

Surface preparation:

  • Mix well before use
  • The surface must be clean, dry, all grease, wax, oil and rust must be removed. To improve the adhesion of the coating, sand it or increase the roughness of the surface. For better results when coating metals, use Primera.
  • Use adequate ventilation

Application:

  • Shake the can well before use for a full minute and shake the spray frequently during application
  • Hold the spray 15 - 25 cm from the painted surface, put the layers one after another, moving the spray slightly beyond the edges of the painted object. Apply until an even, smooth surface is obtained
  • Allow each layer to dry for 30 minutes. Apply as many coats as desired (3 - 4 on average)
  • Allow the coating to dry for 4 hours when finished
  • When applying rubber at lower temperatures, the drying process may take longer. In such conditions, it is recommended to preheat the aerosol by placing it in a warm room until it reaches room temperature. Under no circumstances may the aerosol be heated above 48 ° C or the use of open heat sources or devices that may cause ignition.
  • Additionally, cooler conditions can affect the painted surface. If you have any concerns, please make a test in an invisible place before the actual application to check whether the final effect will meet your expectations.

Recommendations:

Always protect surroundings from accidental painting. Each layer requires about 4 hours to dry completely. When stains appear, remove the spray from the painted surface. To avoid clogging the spray tip, invert the spray tip and press the spray tip for 5 seconds. After clogging, to unlock the tip, remove it and immerse it in kerosene or solvent for 30 minutes. Do not force any needles, pins or other objects into the spray can. To increase the anti-slip properties, you can sprinkle a little sand on the first wet layer of rubber, then apply at least two more layers, the effect may vary depending on the material used. The rubber can be removed from most surfaces.
