The appearance of the PowerBox Cockpit SRS is identical to that of the PowerBox Competition SRS. It is distinguished by one additional feature: a freely programmable door-sequencer for warbirds and jets. SRS stands for Serial Receiver Circuit: Unlike conventional systems, the signal to the servo is transmitted using a digital serial signal generated by the receiver. This reduces the number of connections required between the receiver and the PowerBox to one cable. The obvious option is to connect a second receiver to the system. In the case of the Spektrum and Jeti systems, there is no need to connect a second receiver. In this case, it is enough to use a receiver with a satellite.
The PowerBox Cockpit SRS has twelve output channels, independent of the radio control system with which it is used. Four of them are equipped with a servo-match function. The purpose of the servo match function is to very accurately match the center point, end points and direction of rotation for each servo. This means that multiple servos mechanically connected to each other on a single control surface (e.g. aileron) can be tuned to run exactly parallel. As a result, they are able to develop their full power and use less electricity. The servo-match function can also enormously extend the service life of the servo. All settings are programmed via SensorSwitch in combination with a high-resolution OLED screen. All menu items are displayed in full text on the screen (and not as shortcuts) making the procedure much easier to understand. The PowerBox Cockpit SRS offers the possibility of linking telemetry to various radio control systems. This feature allows the pilot to monitor the voltage of both batteries on the transmitter screen. The receiver sends data directly to the transmitter screen. Alarms such as low battery are also generated on the transmitter itself.
The high-resolution OLED screen displays the voltage and capacity of both the batteries as well as the actual output voltage. The PowerBox Cockpit SRS supplies an adjustable output voltage of 5.9 V or 7.4 V, making it an excellent choice for standard 6.0 V servos, in both cases the constant output voltage ensures that the servos run continuously. The PowerBox Cockpit SRS can be updated via a USB adapter.
