VOLTA CL 20A speed controller

Based on our experience with control line models, we developed a speed controller that meets the main requirements of this category - the need for a timer and a reliable speed controller mode to maintain a constant speed. Most standard speed controllers do not offer these features, so we decided to develop our own solution.

The result is the Volta CL 20A, a regulator designed specifically for models with a control cable. It provides smooth and quiet operation, constant speed thanks to a speed control system, and an integrated timer that can be easily set via JetiBox. An important advantage is also the telemetry support, which provides valuable real-time data.

The development team included two of the most experienced specialists in the field - Lukáš Vosecký and Roman Radoš - who made sure that the ESC truly meets the expectations of modelers looking for a reliable, precise and user-friendly system.

This compact and lightweight regulator (measuring 19 × 28 × 5 mm and weighing just 8.5 g) generates a continuous current of 25 A, with a peak load of up to 50 A for 2 seconds. It operates over a voltage range of 6-24V, which corresponds to 2-5S LiPo or 3-6S LiFe batteries. It also has an integrated 8 V/150 mA BEC circuit for powering a receiver or Jetibox (not servos).

The ESC controller includes advanced protection against overvoltage, under-voltage, overheating, overcurrent and motor stalling. It offers a wide range of configurable options, including acceleration, synchronization, reversing and braking. It supports high-speed helicopter/regulator mode, bi-directional mode and a special sequencer dedicated to models with a control line.

Thanks to high-frequency switching, it operates with very low noise levels and provides exceptionally smooth engine operation. In addition, the controller automatically recognizes telemetry systems (Duplex EX, HoTT, MSB, PowerBox P2Bus, S.Bus2, FrSky) and can record both minimum and maximum values of transmitted signals.
