Der Kleine FALKE (Little Falcon) is an ideal first "adult" glider, with which you will gain basic construction skills and learn to fly a free-flying model. But that's not all - Der Kleine FALKE can be built as a category A1 free-flying glider (international F1H class) and flown for fun or to participate in student competitions, but there is also the possibility to equip it with a small receiver with two servos to get a small RC glider. But don't stop there - you can also mount a pylon with a small AC electric motor with a push propeller and enjoy flying a motor glider. Thanks to its clever design, Der Kleine FALKE can be completed as a free-flying model in the first place; the remote control and motor can easily be added at any time later! Or vice versa...

During construction, thanks to the precision laser-cut parts, you will only need the most basic tools (modeling knife, razor or jigsaw, sandpaper, modeling pins, flat hairbrush), modeling glue and varnish. Thoughtful design, interlocking parts, sophisticated preparations included in the kit and a high degree of pre-treatment will allow you to get started quickly and easily.

The front part of the fuselage consists of laser-cut balsa and plywood parts with enough space for ballast and a timer for the free model, as well as a receiver or drive battery, two servos and a receiver for the RC model . Access to these will be provided by a removable cabin cover. The tail boom is made of carbon tube to guarantee low weight and high strength.

The wing, made entirely of balsa with a Jedelsky profile, has an attack section formed from pre-ground balsa slats; thanks to its clever design, a flat top is enough to build it. It is attached to the fuselage with rubber grommets.

The surfaces of the butterfly tail are made of laser-cut balsa boards. The rudders are suspended from nylon hangers; a pair of wire rope guides attached to the fuselage's carbon beam and inserted into a space at the fuselage's bow are used to adjust or control them. For a loose model, the wires of the cable guides are glued with a piece of duct tape to their outer tubes - this will keep the rudders firmly in place, but they can be adjusted if necessary, adjusting the flow.

The tow hook included in the kit allows the Der Kleine FALKE to be towed on a 25-50m rope (silon line) or launched from a small catapult (5m 3x2mm rubber + 20m silon line).

For the RC glider you will need an RC kit with a compound for the butterfly tail surface, a miniature receiver and two 5-6g micro servos.

Der Kleine FALKE was designed and manufactured in the Czech Republic.

The kit includes: laser-cut balsa and plywood fuselage parts, pre-sanded wing and tail surface parts, carbon tail spar, wire lines and small accessories, sandpaper, weights, rubber for wing attachment, tow hook, sticker sheet , building plan and building instructions .
