LED programming card for KAVAN speed controllers of the PRO series, also compatible with Foxy G2 controllers (for aircraft models), is used for easy and quick programming of controllers - both at home "on the table" and at the airport. The controller is connected via a servo cable, the socket is located on the top of the housing. The card is powered by the BEC stabilizer of the Kavan driver power supply or from a common 4-5-cell package. NiCd / NiMH or 2S LiPo / LiFe receiver battery connected to the device (in the case of OPTO controller). Programming takes place after connecting the motor and the drive battery (even in the case of OPTO regulators).
NOTE: Kavan PRO LED programming card cannot be used to program FOXY 1st generation controllers, and FOXY 1st generation programming card cannot be used to program Kavan and FOXY G2 controllers.
Kavan PRO speed controllers can be programmed in a model with a propeller fitted - however for safety reasons we still recommend removing the propeller during programming - to prevent possible accidents in the event of operator negligence or error. In the same way, program the controls on cars and boats securely mounted on a stand (so that the wheels or propeller are "in the air"). In any case, safety rules should be followed.
There are four programming buttons on the front panel of the card. They are used to select the program functions ("POSITION") to be set and to set their values ("VALUE"). The "OK" button confirms the change made and sends it to the controller, the "RESET" button is used to reset all settings and restore all values to the factory settings. The program function number is displayed on the left side of the two-digit LED display ("POSITION"), the function value is displayed on the single digit of the LED display on the right ("VALUE").
The method of connecting the controller to the LED programming card depends on the controller type - it differs depending on whether it is a controller with a BEC power stabilizer or an OPTO controller. When connecting, carefully follow the instructions provided with the card and the controller.
The list of functions and adjustable values is given on the label on the card; A detailed description of the functions can be found in the instructions attached to the Kavan PRO controllers.
