Our FunStik retro-style "fokker-morane" aerobatic aircraft will bring you a lot of fun both in your workshop and on the airfield. The FunStik is an ideal project for the modeler who is already familiar with balsa, glue and is familiar with an upper-wing, "full body" aircraft. Laser-cut puzzle-like parts make construction a breeze. With the installation of a good .21-.25 glow motor (3.5-4.0 ccm) or a 500-600 watt brushless motor, your FunStik is an amazing joy to fly, entertainment that never gets boring!
The FunStik model was designed and manufactured in the Czech Republic.
Fuselage - classic construction covered with "hard" balsa.
The one-piece wing has a symmetrical cross-section and a balsa caisson, it is attached with two plastic screws to the fuselage. Laser-cut parts make construction easy, and their interconnectedness ensures that you'll build accurately and simply, without any jigs. The two micro servos mounted on the wings are connected to the full-size ailerons by short steel rods. The servos and ailerons can be mounted on the bottom side of the wing (regular flying with landing gear) or on top (preferred flying without landing gear, landing belly down).
The landing gear is pre-bent aluminum with lightweight KAVAN wheels.
At least a 4-channel RC kit is required to control the FunStik. For controlling the altitude rudder and directional rudder, standard servos weighing 3-4 kg.cm are enough; for an electric-powered model, you can choose suitable mini or micro servos to keep the weight low. Choose good micro servos for ailerons and throttle.
IC motor: Your FunStik will fly great with any reliable .21-.25 (3.5-4.0ccm) glow engine and a 100-150ml (3.5-5oz) fuel tank; if you opt for the more powerful and "thirstier" O.S. MAX-25FX II, you should use a 150-170ml (5-6oz) fuel tank.
Electric motor: Your FunStik will fly great with any 500-600W brushless motor like KAVAN C3542-1200 or Model Motors AXI 2820/10 V2 with 10x6-8" electric propeller, 50-60A ESC and 3S LiPo power pack 2200-2600 mAh.
Kit contents: laser-cut balsa parts, pine slats, balsa slats and sheets, small accessories, aluminum landing gear, lightweight wheels, sticker sheet, building plan, instruction manual.
