Known as PC-31 (31 g/yd² polycarbonate), Icarex material is the lightest kite material available. Its polyurethane (PU) coating on both sides provides an exceptional seal and prevents water absorption, providing excellent performance even in low wind and rain. The polyester composition combined with the double coating gives Icarex material better porosity compared to other materials.

With minimal elongation, Icarex improves the responsiveness and precision of sport kites, offering a clear advantage over nylon. The fabric features double reinforcement with woven yarns at 10mm intervals in both warp and fill directions, providing exceptional tear strength while remaining lightweight. While polyester ripstop fabrics typically offer less tear resistance than nylon, the symmetrical, square reinforcement lines in Icarex give designers more flexibility in how they use the material. These unique square reinforcement lines are a hallmark of Icarex's reputation as the highest quality fabric in the sport kite market.

Icarex is available in a wide range of vibrant colors that retain their brightness and intensity due to the material's UV resistance. Compared to nylon, Icarex retains its original color much better over time, providing a striking appearance in the sky.
