The STRIKE DLG easily fulfills the dream of a compact model with which you can go to any meadow and have fun at any time - just like our CUMUL DLG. Compared to it, it's bigger and has ailerons in the wing, but with a little effort it will still fit within the 250g limit.
The Strike is also ideal for anyone who wants to build models themselves, in the classic way of balsa, plywood, spruce slats and carbon. Construction goes fairly quickly and there isn't much to it. The DLG STRIKE is a fairly simple model in terms of construction, and may not be suitable as a first model for someone with no prior experience, but if you've already built "at least "something structural you shouldn't have any problems. Similarly, you shouldn't have any problems mastering the launch with the "disk throw" - we did not forget to add a pictorial appendix to the instructions describing in detail how to perform the throw.
The STRIKE DLG model was designed and manufactured in the Czech Republic.
The RC stunt kit with a classic very light all-balsa design (KIT version) is an ideal design for modelers who want to build a really "powerful" model for recreational flying. Thanks to its clever design with CNC-cut parts equipped with tabs and notches that fit together like puzzle pieces, construction is very quick and easy. In addition, the ribs and half-ribs are equipped with mounting protrusions that allow you to build a curved profile wing on a flat board.
The front part of the fuselage consists of a nacelle made of balsa and lightweight plywood, its core is a simple "box" structure with balsa sides and plywood bulkheads. The place for the servos of the directional and altitude rudder is located in the fuselage under a removable side cover closed by a magnet. The tail section of the fuselage consists of a carbon tube beam with a glued-on plywood pylon for attaching the horizontal tail surface. A tow hook is also included for towed takeoff.
The one-piece YA0801 profile wing is now a classic design with balsa ribs, a main beam made of thin-walled carbon tube and a front beam made of beech dowel, which guarantees high wing strength. The ailerons across the span are controlled by a pair of servos located in the wing. The wing is attached to the fuselage with a plastic screw. The design of the wing provides for the possibility of placing an "ejection pin" in a suitably reinforced left or right wing tip.
The model can be covered with a napalm film - the preferred is the jalousy transparent film Oralight®, Vlies or similar materials.
You will need at least a four-channel RC kit to control the model. The advantage is the use of a computer transmitter, which allows you to independently set the aileron servos (differential, brakes) and program mixes to facilitate the "disk" throw.
A single 500-600 mAh LiPo cell is ideal for powering on-board electronics.
The kit includes: CNC-cut balsa and plywood parts, carbon tube wing spars, carbon tube tail spars, a set of accessories, a sheet of self-adhesive stickers, a 1:1 scale build plan and instructions.
