GPS telemetry sensor combined with barometric altimeter / variometer for Futaba RC kits with FASSTest, T-FHSS Air (for aircraft) and T-FHSS (Surface) telemetry transmission systems for cars. It can measure flight path speed relative to the ground (0-500 km/h), distance, relative altitude (-700 m to +5500 m) relative to the takeoff point with resolution to 0.1 m, and climb/descent speed (-150 m/s to +150 m/s). It is ideal for measuring the speed of model airplanes, as well as ground vehicles and ships, the flight altitude of model airplanes (especially gliders and motor gliders) and signaling their ascent/descent, measuring the distance of the model from the takeoff point and similar applications. The sensor's operating status is indicated by an LED.

  • Compatible receivers: Futaba receivers with S.BUS2 port
  • Connection to the receiver: socket S.BUS2
  • Number of addresses required by the sensor: 8*
  • Default address number setting (starting address): 8*
  • Transmitted telemetry data: speed of the model trajectory relative to the ground, distance of the model from the reference point (starting point), relative altitude (relative to the reference point - the point where the sensor is turned on), ascent / descent speed
  • Typical installation: on top of the model with an "unobstructed view of the sky" - no electrically conductive part of the model must be above the sensor - and in a place where the sensor is not directly exposed to the airstream, but in a space that is not completely enclosed to allow for the reflection of changes in atmospheric pressure. The sensor will not work properly indoors and in certain flight positions (such as flying on your back), as GPS signal reception is not guaranteed in such environments or situations
  • Power supply 3.7-7.4V (nominal battery voltage)
  • The sensor kit includes: sensor SBS-02G with cables, user manual.

*) Telemetry sensors are identified on the S.BUS2 serial bus by an address number ("slot"); more complex sensors transmitting more than one data may require several consecutive addresses, in which case the first address belonging to the sensor is called the start address.
