Kavan 's two-component quick-drying epoxy resin.

Basic properties:

• Suitable for gluing: soft and hard wood, chipboards, plywood, metals, polystyrene, ceramics, porcelain, glass and carbon laminates, glass and carbon fabrics and fibers
• Not suitable for bonding: soft and flexible plastics (including EPP and EPO), polyethylene, Teflon
• Use as a putty, appropriate fillers: microballoons, talcum, baby powder, diatomaceous earth, fine balsa or linden sawdust, chopped glass fibers. Note - the addition of putty can shorten the working time by up to 25% and (depending on the type and amount of putty used) reduce the strength of the joint
• Working time (for gelation): approx. 5 min (20 ° C to 25 ° C)
• Glued parts can be moved: after 15-20 min
• Half strength: after 10-15 min
• Full strength: after 2-3 hours
• Full hardening: 16-24 hours
• Color: transparent
• Component mixing ratio: 1: 1 (by volume and by weight)
• Note 1: The curing of the adhesive depends mainly on the ambient temperature; if a large amount of epoxy resin is mixed at the same time (usually more than 20-30 g), it can harden much faster - in order to maintain a longer working time, the adhesive should be cooled, e.g. in a water bath. This is due to the fact that when the resin reacts with the hardener, heat is released, and at higher temperatures the resin hardens faster. And since the weight of the resin (and therefore the amount of heat generated) increases faster as the volume increases than the size of the outer surface from which the heat is dissipated to the environment, more resin heats up and hardens faster.
• Note 2: Primarily transparent and fairly fluid epoxy resins based on bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin can sometimes thicken ("sugar") like bee honey) and lose transparency - this is due to exposure to low temperatures, humidity or the passage of time. By carefully heating in hot water (60-70 ° C) for a few minutes until the resin becomes clear again in its entire volume, you can get a "like new" resin with its original properties.
• Always use protective clothing that meets the B HP requirements.
• Store the product out of the reach of children.
• The product contains substances classified as dangerous.
