PAD (Power Absorbing Device) is used to absorb reverse current during high power servos operation. This current can damage voltage stabilizers, regulators, BEC and PowerBoxes.

Each servo, when working under load, generates a reverse current, but most of the devices supplying these servos are not adapted to this or protected against the undesirable effects of this phenomenon. In order to protect sensitive electronic equipment (and thus improve safety), Hitec has designed a PAD, which, when plugged into the servos power supply system (receiver, PowerBox, etc.), is able to absorb and eliminate reverse currents. One PAD plugged into the board can absorb electricity from up to 8 servos. Thanks to the use of PAD, you improve the safety of your model, and thus of yourself and others.
