In 1954, Christoph von Mayenburg set a world speed record with the original Mathea VII. The Aero-Naut company has designed a model of this famous boat using modern construction techniques and laser cutting methods.
Mathea is a wooden structure that uses precision-cut frames and stringers to create a lightweight yet strong hull.
The cockpit and engine compartment can be removed in one piece, which provides good access to the engine and radio equipment. Unlike the original, the deck of the model is made of mahogany.
The complex shapes of the front and rear of the cockpit are constructed in single layers and can be easily sanded to create a perfect surface. A-Tex is used as a cover material for the cockpit and backrest. The pilot's seat is upholstered with foam and synthetic leather.
Comprehensive building instructions in typical aero-naut style explain the individual building steps using graphics and text, so that both expert and novice can achieve a satisfactory result.

Set contains:

Laser-cut parts of birch and mahogany, obechi for compound curves, propeller shaft, aerodynamic device for correct alignment, photo-etched parts for cockpit instruments, steering wheel etc., and extensive pictorial construction instructions.

Technical data:

  • length: 910 mm
  • width: 440 mm
  • weight: approx. 1800 g
  • scale: 1/5
