The Bismarck ship was built just two years after the Hamburg Shipyard was built and was put into service on February 14, 1939. Its engine developed 138,000 hp and allowed the ship to reach a maximum speed of 38.8 knots.
The model in the KIT version was designed based on the plans of the original. The scale of 1: 200 makes the built model very realistic. The construction time is significantly reduced by the hull made of plastic. The electric drive is carried out either by means of three screws with three separate motors or by one motor and gear. The spaciousness of the hull allows the installation of any RC equipment.
The model can be equipped with an additional assembly kit No. 3620/01, containing:
Towing hooks, double posts, anchors, anchor chains, searchlights, flag holders, flagpoles, brass ladders, windlass, lifeboats, pontoons, transport boats, three turrets, torpedo tubes, mast cranes, rails, etc.
The Bismarck kit (3620/00) includes:
  • extensive instruction,
  • plastic hull,
  • plan for the expansion of the hull with wooden elements,
  • wooden elements (slats, plywood) needed to make the deck,
  • set of shafts, propellers and rudders,
  • a set of wooden and cardboard details needed to finish the model,
  • does not include the optional mounting kit.
