Model airplanes are usually created as miniatures of real, "adult" airplanes. But our designers started from the "forest - they watered, dug and treated the popular Der Kleine FALKE model with 100% biological means for so long that it grew to a span of 1800 mm and became a high-performance RC FALKE 1800 thermal glider."

The front part of the model's fuselage is made of high-strength EPO (extruded polyolefin) foam; the tail boom is made of carbon tube. A C2714-1450 AC electric motor with a 7x6" folding propeller and a KAVAN R-20B regulator with a BEC power stabilizer are mounted on the bow. The cabin cover is removable, attached to the front with a pin, az the rear with a magnet. At the bow you will find enough space for the propulsion battery and receiver. Rudder and altitude servos are stored in the fuselage under the wing, the rudders are controlled by cables.

The wing of the EPO foam model is two-piece with a carbon spar and a steel wire link; it is attached to the fuselage with two plastic screws. The ailerons are controlled independently by two servos with short straight rods.

The removable butterfly tail stabilizers are also made of EPO foam and are attached to the fuselage with a plastic screw.

The model is powered by a C2714-1450 AC motor with a 20A KAVAN R-20B regulator.

You will need a 1200-1600 mAh three-cell LiPo with at least 20C capacity to power it. Choose a specific type so that the correct center of gravity position will work best for you without further weighting.

You can also use a four-channel RC kit with a mixer for the butterfly tail contraption to control the model in emergency situations - in the basic design, the ailerons are connected to only one channel via a Y-cable. The ideal, of course, is to use at least a six-channel RC kit that allows independent control of the ailerons by two servos and their mixing as an airbrake (both ailerons swing up in unison), which even an inexpensive Radiolink AT9S or AT10II or Futaba T6K or T10J can do today. In this case, replace the Y cable of the ailerons in the fuselage with two (15-30 cm) extension cables. Of course, the manual includes a detailed table with proven default rudder deflection settings (including mixes), so you can easily prepare the FALKE for flight.

The ARF kit includes: finished EPO foam fuselage, wing and tail surfaces with installed motor, propeller, regulator and 4 servos, instructions.
