High-quality carbon fabric, used as a construction material in modeling and many industrial fields. Carbon fiber fabrics are used especially where high product strength combined with low weight is required. Their very high mechanical strength is given by carbon structures that are chemically similar to graphite and the fact that the main component is almost exclusively graphite makes them non-fusible and chemically resistant. These fabrics are used by the energy industry, e.g. laminates for wind turbine blades, in the aerospace industry for the manufacture of propellers and components that reinforce the structure of the fuselage, wings and ballasts, in yacht manufacturing for components particularly exposed to high loads such as rudders, centerboards, masts, hulls and even as sail reinforcement, in the sports industry (carbon bicycle frames, sports bows, shoe soles). For a long time, the material has also been used in the field of extreme sports and motorsports, such as Formula 1 cars. In modeling, carbon fabrics and laminates are structural elements of high-performance remote-control models (spars, bayonets, caissons, hulls, ballasts). Note: Laminates made of carbon fabrics shield all kinds of electromagnetic waves very well, so they should not be used where the antenna of the receiver runs, as this may cause loss of range.
