Aramid fabric is characterized by its tensile strength and very high mechanical resistance, which is why aramid is used, among other things, in the production of bulletproof vests as well as used in the manufacture of high-end kayaks, boats, protective helmets, shields and in many other fields. In modeling, it is used to build flying models, boats, wherever there is a need to make elements resistant to high mechanical forces. The material can be used interleaved with carbon fabric. The fabric can be cut with special Kevlar scissors or a very sharp knife, some modelers use ordinary scissors sharpened at an angle of 67 degrees. Unlike carbon fabric, aramid fabric does not shield electromagnetic waves so there is no need to extend the receiver antennas outside the model structure. The structure and weave of the fibers allow the fabric to be accurately laid in the molds. It seeps perfectly with epoxy, polyester and vinylester resins. For greater strength, it is recommended to lay layers with fibers alternately (crosswise). In model construction, in order to achieve high strength and relatively low weight, we recommend using L-285 or LH-385 resins (substitute for L-285 resin)
